So now that I have the engine and fuel system working well in my project (91F250) I have discovered that the transmission is slipping bad in 3rd and thelockup solenoid is not working. When I pulled the pan the magnet is very fuzzy so I have decided to rebuild my E4OD. Back inthe day, when I was a 20 something kid, I rebuilt my share of Turbo-350ies acouple of 400s and one torque-flight, but never an electronically controlled 4speed. But I am one of those guys that likes to do things myself so here goesnothing.... I ordered the ATSM manual, and then I found the ford E4OD referance manual on line. So I now have both. But that leads me to my question. Since ford adjusts the clutch pack clearence by using selective snap rings, and since I would rather not have to assemble a clutch pack, measure it, then order and wait for the correct snap ring, does anyone know where I can find an assortment of snap rings for each clutch so that I can just use the one I need?
