95 5.8 Bronco PCM Question
I have a 95 Bronco 5.8 with an E4OD. In an earlier thread I posted, I asked what would be needed to swap the E4OD for a 5 speed. One of the things someone mentioned was swapping the main computer for the one from a truck that had a 5 speed. Now my question is this. Is the PCM what I would need to change? If so, where is it and will it just plug into my existing harness? Also any additional help or tips with doing the swap would be appreciated.

Its behind the passenger side kick panel near the base of the "A" post in front of the door. The alternate PCM should plug right in to the existing wiring harness. The question would be whether or not the harness has the necessary connections for the manual tranny in it. EEC-IV needs a clutch engagement switch and neutral safety information at least. The neutral safety info is handled by the MLPS in trucks with the E4OD. Might want to verify that the connections and wiring running to the manual tranny on the donor truck can be duplicated when you get the manual bolted into your truck. EEC-IV computers are information-hungry and tend to require every last bit if info possible to function properly.

Is the clutch switch mounted on the pedal assembly of the donor truck with the 5 speed?
How would I connect it to my harness if I have the E4OD?
Where would the neutral safety switch be and would it plug in as well?
