My mom was almost 91 when she passed.
One day she called me & said she wanted to go to the hospital. (that was my big shock) she would hardly go to her doctor let alone the hospital.
She was forgetting things & had fallen how many times not sure.
So I took her to the hospital she was low on blood. She just gave up. It took from April till Oct & she finally starved herself to death.
She gave strict orders most of her life to me & my siblings she wanted NO life support, or to be kept alive when that time came, she wanted the final choice. We honored her wishes as tough as it was.
So I guess there comes a point in life where you decide to give up the fight for life. If your lucky enough to live that long.
Well, Keith....no matter when your Mom stands by your Dad's side again...She has the obvious satisfaction that they brought a fine son into this world. You present a pretty good legacy for them in my book.
Prayers are given that you have wonderful thoughts of the life long blessings you and your Mom have shared. These things should bring a smile to both of your faces....even through the tears.
Especially in passing, it is important to recall the beauty in life.
Her doctor is now using the term "Congestive Heart Failure" along with "Renal Failure".
Time is getting short, and she'll soon be with my Dad, we believe.
IF she comes out of the hospital, there will have been some true "Divine Intervention" taking place.
