I have a 1996 f150 and the rear driver side is sagging lower than the rear passenger. I replaced shocks and leaf springs. Still tha same issue. Does anyone have a solution pls help
Pictures of it parked on flat level ground would help, changing springs good idea but where they "new" or "used" springs? Safe to assume shocks are new?
Did you inspect the box, its mounting points? If truck is rusty its possible the sections of the box where it bolts/lays over the frame are rotted away/crushed allowing the box to sit funny.
Its also possible is all in the bumper.
Pictures also help verify its not in part attributed to the front.
The springs were new as far as I know anyway but its definitely not the bumper. I measured both wheel wells and the driver side sits nearly an inch lower than the other side. Even when I jacked it up 2 do the leaf springs I barely got the rear driver side off the ground. As for rust didn't notice any on the rest plate for the leaf springs. I live in tha south so no icy salt roads in my neck of tha woods lol..
Your bed is sagging on the driver side? That is unusual. These trucks always tend to sag on the passenger side. this sound really dumb but check you air pressure. If you have an e rated tire on this truck the sidewall will not be bulging much but it will still allow the truck to sit lower on this side and give it the appearance of bed sag. I just went thru this on my truck the other day, I seen it sagging on the pass. side and checked the tire e-rated tire it didnt show mulch bulge at all. But was about 20lbs. to low.
Frame is bent. I've owned two 4.9L 4x4 F150s that had bent frames. I just shimmed the box to level with fender washers and twisted the bumper mounts to match the bed.
Did it ever get hit, or run in to a ditch or anything causing a extreme twist in the frame or bed.....these trucks I've seen multiple times with twisted beds, even mine, that's why I said was it run into a ditch cause that's what happened to my truck
