Dana 44 Spicer leak

If you replaced the ball joints, it is probably just some gear oil over-fill leaking out after the axle shafts were pulled to remove the spindles. Take some brake clean or similar and try to clean the gear oil off as much as possible ( not easy cause that stuff is messy ) and check the level in your front diff. Keep an eye on it but probably nothing to worry about.

Ok, i dont wanna start another thread just to answer lil questions...
I replaced the ball joints, and the front end is still poppin 'round corners.
I ordered a Moog Drag link, it will come in tomorrow.
Nothing has ever been done to this truck by any previous owner.
My ball joints are now Moog. Wheel bearings, spindle bearings, seals, rotors, are all new.
I am willing to buy a new Moog tie rod, but theres 2 sizes, 49.3 and 50.9, and not sure what and why.

ID the differential and make sure it doesn't have a locker in it .. If the tag is not present ( left side of pumpkin running vertical held by pumpkin cover bolts) .. If tag is not there pull diff cover and take picture and post it .. Also make sure front and rear differentials are same gear ratio and tire size ..

Ok....but i sincerely doubt any money was put into this before me, lol.
If feels like it is right under my feet. I was thinking maybe the steering knuckle because the boot is disintegrated, but i should feel that in the steering wheel?
Im getting a Moog Drag link tomorrow, then if its still doing it, buying Moog tie rod. If that isnt it, i will light it on fire

Ya know, i drove a bit today. And i stopped several times and looked under the truck after left and right turns.
I bought leaf spring bushings for a 1979 f250 awhile ago. They slid right in, no pressure at all. Well, i found out later that a 1979 didnt have 6 leaf front springs, so at some point my truck was lifted.
Back to now...
I noticed that my bushings are allowing the springs wander from left to right. Im thinking that is the noise i am hearing. I hate aftermarket stuff, for this reason

the seal #32, has to be replaced from the differential side.
The popping could be your axle u-joints - did you inspect them? you were so close to replacing them for the all the work you just did. If you bothered to pull the spindles and replace the inner brg and axle seals...only thing left externally is the u-joints. If the joints sag they will clip the ball joint stud if the hubs are locked in.
