Hi guys, does anybody know if a extended[super] cab will swap onto a LWB single cab chassis[frame] and if they do what mods if any have to be done,my truck is a 89 f150...cheers and thanks for any info.
It can be done, but it's not worth the hassle. You have to fab new rear cab mounts, account for the dips and drops in the frame, and deal with shortening the bed or lengthening your frame. Not to mention wiring, fuel/brake lines, brake cables, welding, the list goes on. Both are a pain to do and not worth the cost and man hours it takes. If you can do it, more power to ya. Chances are it's gonna cost more to convert than it'd cost to just buy an extended cab truck already built and ready to drive without being hacked up.
Not tryin to rain on this parade, just want to be straight with you
Thanks for the info guys, looks like i may be better off leaving mine the way it is and hunting around for a replacement with the supercab.
Thanks again....cheers.
