So when I bought my 87 F250 it had a piece of wood for a bumper... I ordered a new bumper and I must be missing something b/c I can figure out how it mounts. Below is what it looks like... the brackets are there but only the bottom hole on each bracket line up with a hole on the bumper.

Alittle help?

That looks like the right bumper and those are correct brackets

 

Yeah.... how many bolts/screws secure the bumper? Doesn't seem like only 2 would be right. Could it really only be one at the bottom of each bracket? The top hole of the bracket doesn't align with any holes in the bumper.

 

You are also missing the arms that come from the side of the brackets that go to the corners of the bumper.

 

Can you show me what these arms look like and where I can get them from? Usually rockauto is great about parts but I didn't see that..

 

4 bolts hold the bumper to your brackets, then there are 2 more supports that go the the outer corners


As crappy as LMC is they have a decent exploded view of what you should have
