Offroad Bumper

Im in a highschool R.O.P. welding class and I need a project to keep my busy so I was going to build an offroad bumper for my 78 F150. I havent built a bumper before but Im wanting to mount 2 offroad lights(built into the bumper) and then have couple "D" rings on it and have my Grille guard mount up to it. Does anyone have pictures of a bumper that is like this? I just need a simple disign to go off of if no one minds me basing my bumper off of theirs...
Thanks All.

If i ever get off my lazy butt ill finish mine and post picss. Itll be like chronos but farther from the grille and slat back like a ramsey bumper and heavey enough for a 10,000lb pto winch

I have made front and rear for mine. The front is mostly done.
Looking back, it would have been MUCH easier to make a front that was like this:

mine looks like mbbs. mines made of 3/8 diamond plate and painted flat black. mine has a flat section on top that projects out about a foot so i can stand on it to get into the engine bay.

The bumper was a piece of 12" wide structural c channel that I cut down to 8". I'd say it was prolly 3/16 maybe a 1/4 inch thick on the flats, and at the corner it's about a half inch thick. It's rigid.

Here's mine:Just for the heck of it, this is the rear:

Just to add, that is a very old picture, so it'd explain the punny tires.......still pull better than thornbirds though!

My HD winch bumper

Had a buddy of mine weld this up. Very heavy used a bobcat to lift it into place.

Its 3/16" steel had to upgrade the front springs as well.
