I have heard of some being able to do it, but the majority just remove the turbo and be done with it.
Leaving the turbo to finagle an intake out is almost like 1 step forward and 2 steps back in my mind.

I am sick of pulling the turbo, but I'm more sick of pulling the whole intake out in order to check a couple sensors on the HPOP...LOL...
I figure I'm probably on borrowed time since, as far as I know, Monster is at 190k on the original HPOP. I hate to say it but at $600 plus for a HPOP, she ain't getting it replaced until it actually dies!
But since the money and budget for this truck is completely gone and empty...there will be no new intake in her near future either. In fact if the IPR or IPC are failed rather then just dirty or bad wire connections...then Monster may sit idle in the drive way for a long time...

If you cut the ear off the manifold that the EGR cooler bolts to you can slip the manifold out without pulling the turbo.
