Intake Manifold

Looking for a used (in good condition) intake manifold 2004 or later for the 6.0L. There are two types and I am looking for the one that does not have the rear casting...basically the U shaped...if anyone knows or has one PM me.

Thanks

The manifold with the rear cross is for an 03 and requires a different EGR cooler also.

I took mine to a machine shop and had it cut and tig weld aluminum plugs, this was a simple fix, cost about $35.00. For an extra $30.00 had the EGR cooler plugged both ends with stainless inserts and welded also. If you change the intake to an 05 or later you have to change EGR cooler too. Cutting the bridge cross over out allows for the intake gaskets to seat better and I appear to get better performance. Mine is a 2003.

I just need one....FYI I'd rather get the direct replacement and not have to deal with all the cutting/modifying etc

Thanks

Below is a breakdown of part numbers of all available intake manifolds for all applications of the 6.0L diesel:

3C3Z-9424-AJ
(For 2003 to early 2004 model year F-Series)

4C3Z-9424-E
(For late-build 2004 F-Series and 2004 E-Series)

5C3Z-9424-C
(For 2005 to 2007 F-Series and 2005 to 2010 E-Series)

To Joe Blow, if your truck is a late-build 2004 with the ICP sensor on the valve cover, the correct application you require is 4C3Z-9424-E. Hope this helps.

Hi mchan

My build date is 11/03 and if I remember correctly, the ICP is on the RH valve cover.

Thanks for the help
Joe

4C3Z-9424-E is the correct one for your application, as I indicated in my previous post.
