I would have liked a larger filter than the 820s on my 6.8l because it only has a 6 quart pan. I have found none and I let it at that. The 6.2l and later 6.8l engines have 7qt pans which is good enough. The 820S filter works and the anti drain back valve system works very well.(which is extremely important) I have had no problems with the 820S on any vehicle in the 15 years I have been using them.

The only thing I can say to most of the posters here is "you REALLY drank the kool-aid!!!!!!!!

Would this same superbly engineered truck be the same ones with the engines that BLOW SPARK PLUGS OUT OF THE ENGINE!!!!!!!!
Break steering box bolts off a truck that has never been off road!!!!!!!
Let the smoke out of multiple fuse boxes!!!!

I am a Ford guy but man they make it hard
When I hook up my trailer and I am moving 17,000 lbs total, I look at the size of that filter in dismay, no a bigger filter does not guarantee more filter media but a long Wix eg will have more than a short Wix, you guys need to get a clue

WOW!!!

I had no idea that asking a simple question fir a part number would garner such reaction.

More oil capacity is always a good thing. Whether you agree or not, I'm looking to increase my oil capacity. So....does anybody know of a larger Motorcraft filter that can be used on a 6.2L?

As long as you don't do a bunch of short trips (the oil will never get to operating temp) adding more oil capacity is always a good thing. Even if there is no extra filter media.
The 6.0 is not a Ford motor bud. Navistar

BTW, the 6.0 oil filter is great. Easy to change, doesn't spill a drop and filters well.
