A day late Charlie. Could use that 86? you scrapped too. Didn't need it then....
(I even have spring perches)
That one was an 82, was pretty much toast. Had the lightweight frame ( lots of pretty round stamped holes) and the stamped I Beam front end. the truck was low milage, but from being light weight, it was re-bushed as far out as I could safely get it.
The funeral drum roll for that truck was when I stepped through the bed mat, and the rusted bed, and the gas tank stopped me from breaking my leg. looked like an inside out burrito with my foot in it. I knew there was no saving her.
The 86 was sitting in a Home Depot parking lot one day ( after the Ins company totaled it from the rear end smack) and some guy walked up and fell in love with it. Said it was just like a new one he had when he was young. $2,500 later he owned a new to you tan 86 f-150....
$480 from the dealer... plus $75 for labor.. told em hell no... for one thing my parts guy said the factory ones only $280... i found it online for 169.81...
