The caps drain quick so as suggested, give SCT a call. Go over the truck again where you were working and re-check connections. Do only one task at a time, any interruption while flashing the truck can be bad news.
I have to give credit to SCT, they sent me a stock tune this afternoon!
Truck started, drove it home.
Before the coolant flush i never saw over a 9 degree delta, between oil and coolant.
after the Flush i'm seeing 15-40 degree delta on the CS monitor.
I even pulled over at one point because the oil temp was over 235. Coolant never got over 206.
Can the CS monitor be wrong?? Did the flush clog the oil cooler? maybe this has to do with the tune SCT sent me?

this truck is killin me!
Just how did you do the flush?
Even without any chemicals you "could" of kicked some garbage loose
that may of been just hanging. One thing you may want to try is to
back flush the oil cooler. If you have fresh coolant you should be
able to save it. Catch it in a clean bucket and filter it.
More on the Back flush if you want to take that step. Just let us know.
The first thing is to make sure that the sensors are all in agreement
after an 8 hour cols soak time. ECT,EOT and TFT should all be with in about 1º degree.
back flushed oil cooler, heater core, radiator,
installed Fumoto valves in the block.
chemical flushed with restore plus.
filled with Cat ELC
Coolant temps were awesome! Oil was boiling...
When i saw what the chemical flushed out of that engine, my first thought was that i'd be researching how to replace an oil cooler next.
You have a plugged oil cooler. If back flushing the oil cooler does not
clear up the problem it's time for an oil cooler job.
The oil cooler job is not some thing that is that bad. Just take your time
and don't get in a rush or buy Dorman parts.
Have a look at the videos done by Srmastertech
Here is the play list. The cool thing about the play list is he
does a video on the tools that are needed and helpful to do the job.
Or one at a time and I hope I have them in the right order
