This guys been trying to sell it for awhile now. Me personally don't know why you would do this other then if the roof was gone beyond repair. Wonder what kinda offers he had haha
Any ideas as to what kind of reinforcement would be needed to do something like this? Would be a cool mod for a summer time weekend/camping 4x4. Does anyone make a soft top for this application?

What do you mean by Reinforcement needed? Like cross braces in the body so the sides don't cave in without a roof? A roll bar/cage tied into the frame and inside of the body would make it look alittle better. No soft tops are made for this as nobody ever really cuts off the tops. There's some bronco soft top manufacturers that make tops to cover the bed area and the open back seat. I'm sure one company would be willing to make a snap on soft top for it. Reminds me of this crew without a roof wonder what ever happen to it if it sold and for how much.
yea thats what i mean by bracing. That picture was exactly what i was thinking. Don't think i could bring myself to cut off a perfectly good roof but if it was really rusted as stated above i think i would take a torch to it and throw a roll bar in.
The picture is too crappy to see if the guy put a Mack bulldog on his Ford, or if that's a JC Whitney aftermarket tumor on the hood. Either way, yikes! And what's with the unibrow? Makes his bumpside look like a chick from Transylvania, the Old World one. Imagine having to look at that first thing every morning. Ouch.
The strict rule for buying a vehicle is, you ask yourself "if I drive this thing to Walmart will folks say, 'Walmart People!'?" If your gut says, "yep" then don't buy it. This piece of schlitz comes to mind.
Man. Tough crowd here. Call me twisted and diagonal like Area351 (speaking of which, I wonder where he's been?) but I like these trucks. Especially the Bump Presidential Limo in Crazed's post. Not saying I like the stripe but it reminds me of a 1964 Galaxy. On the shorty truck I'd like to see the driveshaft on that bad boy. It's got to be all of 12"!
This could have been Obama's special order Limo when he was a big city planer in the state of Lawlessness.
