Air Conditioner Smell
Can any tell me what I am looking for when they say "Locate the air intake under the passenger side of the windshield"? I found a post on this site on how to fix the odor but i do not know what i am looking for. What the air intake looks like. A pic would be very helpful. I got the information from here like the 7th post down. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/962066-ac-odor.html
Thanks

Look by the passenger wiper down in/below the grate you should see it.
You can turn on the a/c blower on high and spray a deodorizer down there and it should circulate thru. Depending on how bad it is it may take several times to get all smell out.

The Frigi-Fresh works really well. I have used it a few times in dealing
with new to me vehicles that had "smells". Nothing like new car smell in a can.
Maybe I should call that one "New Car Stink" NASTY.
I have also used the Frigi-Fresh after a house fire and that cleared burned smell out.
Any time you get crap growing on the coils it not good for you or the coils.
The stuff tends to get acidic and eat the coils and cause a leak.
I found that most of the BG line can be picked up at most of the big chain auto part stores.

EDIT : BTW you don't have to open the A/C system just get access to the coils and spray it on. Just read the instructions on the can.
