285/75/16s will fit (33"). Any bigger and there's mixed reports of rubbing/no rubbing on bumps or when turning.

As I recall 305/70/16will fit a stock suspension, but the 315s need a front end level kit (and will rub a bit at full turn). The rear is fine as is up to 315/75/16.

I've been running 285's since I bought my truck in '05 w/ stock sagging suspension and I have a chunk of the inner fender well missing because the tire (all terrain) has eaten it. I'm running Toyo Open Country II.....285/75r16

Nice....thanks.....no I never saw that, but I did try a huge zip ty and well it fell short. One day I will/may replace it, probably after I finally do my suspension upgrade that I've been wanting to do forever but everytime I get the extra cash to order parts something comes up.......

Ok, sounds like 285's don't fit

No they fit and look great, but you have to pull back the inner fender well as noted above or you will get a hole/rubbing sound. I just ignored it until there was a hole.......it also depends how aggressive a tread you run. Street tires = no/less issue Aggresive like I run = a hole or diy fix......either way I will never run anything smaller

Tire size for stock wheels 04 EB gasser

Hi guys and gals. Ive been reading through the threads discussed her over many years on tire sizes for stock EX's. Mine is an 04 EB gasser with stock rims. I have run stock tires for years but want something to get the truck up off the ground a bit more (without a lift kit) and have better traction all round. I see a lot of ya'll are running 285 75R 16 AND 305 70R 16 and the occasional 315 70R 16. with the front end level kit. Any one run 305 75 R 16's before. The height of this tire is 34" and the width is 12" as where stock tires are at 31.6" high and 10.4 wide. Any real world help is appreciated.

Yes, I ran the 305’s on stock rims, but that was after I added the front level kit. No issues in the rear. Pic is with 315’s and V/C springs from an F350.
