Hello, I'm new to the forum and a new, 2013 STX 4x4 owner. The truck came certified pre-owned from the dealership with new P275/65R OWL all-terrain Goodyear tires on 18" cast alum wheels.
I want to take the stock tires while they are virtually new, and trade them in on the largest BF Goodrich AT tires that will fit without rubbing (during normal use) or modification to the stock suspension.
Can anyone out there please tell me if they know what size I can go with that will do the job?
I put 275/70 R18's on my 2013 FX4 with stock suspension and they don't rub. Only problem they cause by being a larger diameter than stock is to mess up the navigation system. Ford factors in wheel speed for distance calculations, Garmin doesn't. So a typical $89 Garmin GPS can still operate correctly but the Ford navigation often shows my truck position off of the road or about a block shy of where I actually am.
