Torque converter question

Torque converter question
Will a slipping torque converter kill my mileage on the highway? I get my truck back tomorrow and im curious what to expect with performance and mileage difference.

Transmission shop. Replacing torque converter and solenoid block.

Well they replaced the torque converter but didn't have the new solenoid block and its still slipping. If I get on it hard in 1st gear it slips at higher rooms and shudders when it locks. He said there was fluid in the connector when they took it off so hes going to replace it Monday or Tuesday. I hope its just the solenoid. Im not too happy. I hope the transmission isn't shot
