1970 Ford 302 Flywheel

Converting from a C4 to a 3.03 manual in my 1970 f100 302. Apparently there are 15 million flywheel options! I want to know if any 28 oz imbalance flywheel will work without destroying my engine? And if the 10.5" clutch uses the same pressure plate bolt pattern as an 11"? Any help will be much appreciated!

You need a 28 oz/in flywheel that matches your bellhousing. The 10.5 pressure plate has a different bolt pattern vs an 11" pressure plate. If the bellhousing you're going to use is cast iron, chances are it's a 164 tooth bell and uses a 164 tooth flywheel to allow the starter to line up to the flywheel's teeth. You also need the block plate that's sandwiched between the block and bell, this part indexes the starter to the flywheel to insure the correct tooth engagement.
