I'm starting a non-stock project, kind of hard to explain. A friend gave me a tranny and transfer case out of a '94 (?) Ford pickup. It's an OD trans with 3 electronic hookups. The tag on the driver's side has a large "20" and the following numbers: F5TP-CB, PRA-JAA, 0001830, BD-4H05
What do I have? Is this a pretty hefty trans? Bellhousing is for small block.
Does anyone make a wiring harness to make this a stand alone system? Maybe I should do some explaining. The plan is to hook a 351 Cleveland to it, drop it into the chassis of a '42 Dodge COE. Do I need a computer? Can a stock harness be modified? I'm more comfortable with flatheads, not this new fang-dangled computerized stuff.
Thanks for any and all advise given on this.
