Any recommendations for a reputable place to buy a replacement compressor wheel? The stock wheel seems hard to find. Yes, I know about the Wicked Wheel but it's $230 ...
The Riffraff wheel is definitely worth the money and (if you ask me) better than the WW2.
The WW2 is just a slightly modified version of the stock wheel, it's also billet, so it's lighter. (6 blade dual plane) It's also designed to control surge. Since it's rare to hear of a 6.0 turbo surging becuase of the design (couldn't get mine to surge with the stock wheel), the 11 blade single plane wheel Riffraff wheel is the better option that you get much better performance out of.
I can attest to this because I too bought one for my truck and I can say it was money well spent. I used to have a slight lag at times throughout the RPM range with the stock wheel. With the Riffraff billet wheel I have little to no lag whatsoever. Sure having the Atlas 40 helps, but even stock I think you'd come out ahead with Riffraff's billet wheel and a rebuild kit.
Matter of fact, I have a stock turbo laying around that I'll be rebuilding with the same kit and the Riffraff Billet Wheel.
I guess I was thinking if my goal is to have a good working turbo, I could spend $129 for a rebuild kit plus $200 for a new wheel and the time it would take to rebuild mine ... or I could spend $300 or $400 and get a good takeoff turbo. I guess the former would get me a more reliable turbo, though.

A take off has its pitfalls since you never know how many miles and a host of other things about the turbo. If you rebuilt it you know whats in there and it was done right. Piece of mind in my book
