E99 Compressor Wheel?

I have an early 99 F250 that has a dusted compressor wheel. The bearings appear to be fine, so I just need to replace the compressor wheel. I am reading the wicked wheel is actually the same as the stock wheel I already have. However when I go to buy it the description for the WW say for 99.5-03. Will this wheel fit my stock turbo as a replacement? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to FTE.

Yes the wicked wheel is the same as your stock wheel. It's sold to the 99.5 - 03 turbos as a cure for turbo surge. You'll be fine ordering that for your truck.

Since you're calling it a wicked wheel, are you looking at Dieselsite? Many folks sell the exact same wheel with a different name. Here's a link that has a little better description of the same wheel Replacement O-rings for Ford Diesel Engines

Thanks for the fast reply!
I was actually looking at this item here.
Xtreme Diesel's X-Wheel Compressor Wheel
I assume they are all the same. By any chance do you know the OEM part number for this compressor wheel so I can check the price through my work's dealer?

Sorry, don't know the part number, but the link you provided is the same wheel. I'd recommend pulling the turbo to change the wheel, which of course means you also need to buy new turbo pedestal o-rings.

Then you get to ask yourself questions like, should I just gut and plug the EBPV when I have the turbo out? Should I upgrade to bellowed up pipes while the turbo is out? Is there another FTE member who lives close to me that might offer to help me do this?

I have an unused one I am looking to have someone put to use. I bought it figuring I would get surge with my mods but I did not. I never installed it and it is sitting in my living room.

I do plan to pull the turbo, replace pedistal o-rings and gut the EBPV. In for more info on upgrading the up pipes, what kind of improvement can I see from this?

It eliminates boost leaks and it prevents you from having to pull the turbo later to fix any leaks that may (or some say will) show up.
