I just put in a new glow plug sensor in but when I pulled the old one out, (inside whatever if was I pulled it out of) there was what looked like coolant. Is this normal? Thanks for your help

I am assuming you have an 83-87 6.9 with the old style GP system? If so, this is normal as the gp controller has to sit into the water jacket to detect engine temp on startup.

Please post a bit more info when asking a question as it makes a problem easier to diagnose.

^^^That except, '83-86, '87 was the first year for the new system.

It really helps if you guys post what truck you're working on.

Also, what's the easiest way to take it off, for next time? This time I only used a wrench but I'm thinking I can use a big socket of some size? I haven't found any big enough at O'reillys or anything
