Glow plug timer

Where is the glow plug controller timer located on a 96 7.3 - in the computor?

The cycle time (up to 120 sec.) for the glow plugs is controlled by the PCM based on input from the oil temp sensor & BARO sensor. The WTS light stays on for a set amount of time.

What is a baro sensor?

Barometric pressure sensor. Located near the steering column under the dash.
