New Toy!

Just ordered the 6637 early 99 kit from Riff Raff! I justified it by thinking it's part of "getting things to 100%" because the stock box on my truck has a broken tab, which scares me.

I remember when I first went with the 6637. You can hear the turbo a lot better. It made me smile a lot for a while. Enjoy.

I did the 6637 on my wire's excursion with a 150 chip, the turbo sings now. her only comment was "when are you going to 4" strait pipe it? my answer was "never"! my '97 and my '99 are strait piped and I wear ear plugs when towing.

Yeah, been there, did that. The stock box is a disaster on our trucks. I removed mine and replaced it with a NAPA 2326 filter. Same size as 6637, but with hydrophobic filter media.

I got lucky and bought mine during a big sale on filters they were having. Picked it up for about $35!

Well it's in, along with the aftermarket aluminum thermostat housing, two more things down. No more leak, no more crappy stock airbox.

I don't know if I'm excited that it's in, or if I really can, but I swear i can feel it more than hearing it. Maybe it's just because I have an early 99 and nothing wrapped on my intake pipes anyway, but I've always heard my turbo whistle pretty good past 2k RPM

Loving the 6637 so far.
