Just bought a 2014 F250 King ranch and love it. Wanted to get info on it and been getting lots of valuable knowledge by lurking on this site. Had my first bad moment and wanted to share so others might learn from my misfortune. Been reading on here that most folks seem to think the best floor mats are the WheaterTech Digitalfits so I pulled the trigger on them event though there weren't cheap. When I got them I thought they must have sent the wrong ones since they didn't fit very well so I called them to verify and I did get the right ones. Besides them not fitting very well they did not cover a lot of areas and were flimsy and cheap. Returned them and got the Husky Liners Classics which I've used in most of my other vehicles and they fit like a glove, covered more area, were thicker material and were $40 bucks cheaper. Ended up costing me over $40 bucks shipping both ways to find out that the WheaterTechs were crap.
Did you get the liners or mats originally? Any comparison pictures?
I currently have weather tech visors on my truck, two cars and also bought a set for my pops truck on Fathers day last year. I think they make a great product. Sorry to here weather tech didn't work out for you.
As far as liners my truck being a 99 I went with the huskys from recommendation by my brother and his roomate. The 02 version has an additional hump liner available so that's what I have. No complaints here, the liners fit decent and seem to be a great product. Work as intended.
I've had one set of Husky liners in my truck, they still clean up to look great after 7 pretty tough years. I have the Weathertech's in my car, and I agree that they don't cover nearly what I was expecting, I've already trashed the carpet on the dead pedal because they only cover about halfway up it. Should have gotten the Husky liners for it, too. They fit fine for a highway car and generally keep things clean, but not nearly what I was expecting with all they hype I hear about them.
My complaints with the weather techs is by the E-brake. They should have made it come up farther. Every time you apply the brake the mat rolls up with the pedal. My fix was to drill a hole through the liner and the kick panel. Then I installed a Christmas tree barbed fastener...problem solved. The drain troth drains the water at the seam between the plastic threshold and gasket. Itd be nice to move that back a little towards the rear door so it doesnt get under the plastic & rug. Overall satisfaction 7 on a 1-10 scale.
I too was disappointed in the WeatherTechs...especially the rear mat for crewcabs which rolls up so bad on all edges that I already trashed it. I was expecting heavy but flexible rubber so was instantly disappointed with the thinner, hard plastic. I will say that I have have been very pleased with their window visors and was willing to pay a premium due to the warranty. They have held up great and I frequently use the auto carwash that is fairly aggressive
I have the weather tech mats not the liners in 3 vehicles and I'm very happy. The only complaint I have is the set I just got for my 2014 F 350, I had to trim the driver side rear mat to fit around the factory sub woofer. It's a super cab.
I have the Weathertechs in my 2011 KR and I think they're great. The only issue I might have is the coverage in the back isn't as extensive as it could be (it would be nice if it extended under the front seats a bit), but I rarely use my back seat anyways.
