I'm getting ready to put floor mats or liners in my 2001 F150. I'm leaning toward Weathertech floor liners or even their floor mats. I can't decide which, though. I've heard of some people having fit problems with the floor liners.
The mats look great, and I've got them in a '99 Mercedes E-class, and they fit great, too. However, Weathertech says they are custom fit on only some vehicles, and generic on others.
Anyone with any experience on the 97-03 F-150's? I'm only worried about the front. I may or may not do the rear area. Wal Mart makes some basic ones I can get for 10 bucks each that look decent.
I looked at Huskyliners, but I don't like the way the lip raises up at the door sil. I also would consider their floor mat, if custom fit and if it gets good reviews here.
Any experienced recommendations would be great! I'm just sprucing up the old truck. She's got LOTS of life left ahead of her.
I have weather tech floor liners in my truck extended cab. The fronts fit great the rear was a little too big but I think they sent me crew cab rea. I love mine tho. But a little advice put some Velcr. Or something on the bottom of them to keep them from sliding around. The bottom are slick and slide real easy on the carpet
I'm starting to lean toward the Weathertech floor mats. They don't catch slush like the liners, but the set i have in my Mercedes don't slide around, either. They look good, too. I wish they'd put longer spikes on the backside of the liners to stop that sliding around. I've heard a couple people say they do that.
I have a set for my 2003 supercrew front seats. The only complaint I have is the center isn't covered, just the 2 foot wells. I have the 60/40 bench so if I have a third passenger, there's no protection. Are you listening Weathertech???
I just ordered Lund Catch-It mats. They had good reviews and fit more like a floor mat, but appeared to hold water more like a liner, and they supposedly stay in place. We'll see. I'll let you know how they fit when I receive them.
Yes, the Lunds are great. They fit very nicely and stay put. They also look like they'd hold LOTS of water. The color is a little funky, but it might be just me. My wife says they look just fine. They are the tan, btw.
I put a single piece Husky (Exact fit, I think) in the front of our Transit van and it is REALLY nice. I wish they made the same type of liner for the older F150, but the Lunds are still very nice. Now if they'd only make something for the rear passenger area of that transit. I'd send them the money right now.
