I am really enjoying my 2015 TC. But recently I've found something that has become a constant headache. I have a dog and I do a lot of outdoor work and have found that the carpets in the TC collect and hang onto dirt at a much higher level than my previous Bronco and Explorer. I've had to get mats to put over the mats. It's almost like the factory mats are made of Velcro and everything sticks. Am I alone in this observation?
Ford does make the all weather floor mats that fit and attach to any hold downs. Aftermarket mats can pose a danger of sliding and catching under the accelerater pedal, so just be careful! I live on a farm myself, so my Fiesta just plain stays dirty inside.
Good advice, thank you. I went through a bunch of reviews and found that most of the after market mats tended to slide around. I had a bit of sticker shock in looking at the better mats, but then again I am shocked at most stickers now-a-days--I guess that's why they call them stickers.
Anyway, I ordered a Husky mat as it has the attach points and is a custom fit with side walls. I don't mind a bit of funk but the carpets collected enough dirt to raise potatoes in and got beyond my tolerance levels. I won't make a final judgment until I see what the dog thinks.
I got the Husky mats and they are a perfect fit. The removable mats that came with my TC seemed designed to catch and hold dirt; they were buggers to vacuum and really hard to maintain. I'm happy with the Husky mats.
