More info on the little black box... Its connected in line with the ignition harness from the steering wheel... I am trying to figure out what its for on the main harness i can plug it directly into the column or into the plug ins that lead to this black box

The first 3 pictures are of the black box I was talking about!.... The last picture is a the big red connector that has 4 heavy gauge wires that I can't remember what in the world it connects too!?!?... Please help and thanks in advance

Door.chime.is.connected and under the.dash pulled the.old burnt harness from this truck about 2 weeks ago.and im putting in another harness from same.body style truck i just can't figure out where this red plug in goes... I guess i can refer to my other truck but i have no idea where to start searching

Black box is the cruise control module, and the red plug looks like the heater control plug for ac.

Just keep removing things until something that you /want/ to work doesn't, then add that piece back.
There is actually very little on these trucks that needs to be kept intact to drive; and little that will get hurt with hacking.
