I need to know what to call the piece on the inside (bed side) of our tailgates that covers the hardware for opening the tailgate.
Previous owner pulled it off because he couldnt figure out how to adjust it, and he needed to pull the bars to open it. I've fixed it, and now want a new cover, as it's super ugly the way it is.
So, official name? Anyone know where I can get one? I struck out at my local pick and pull, none of the Fords even had Tailgates
On the F-150 it is called the tailgate access panel. Everyone who removes the pole on the step tailgate has to buy the panel. Let me see if I can dig up the part number for the f-250. It is like 70 bucks for the F-150.
Here is the first one I found 99-07 is what the ad says but I am not sure that is right. What year is your truck?
