A HUGE thanks to highntight for the link to a stepwise tutorial on this subject!!
This is the link for anyone else who might be looking for this information: Changing a Window 68-72 | Ford Trucks
What a great bunch of folks on this forum!
Again, my thanks!
Todd.
I sure hope the link that highntight provided me with helps you in your project!
I'm going to wait for new window seals and felts and vent seals, then I'll do both doors.
Good luck and have fun!
Todd.
Mission accomplished. In the YMMV category, my '68 had 3 screws on the leading edge of the door for the vent window vs 1. The write up, with pics, was helpful. In the words of our Navy electronics repair shop, "Window regulator work fine, last long time." Lol.
Yo! Ozarktraveler! My '69 also has three, not just one. Thanks for the info. Glad your replacement went well.
I've been installing a Monte Carlo bar I bought years ago in my '68 Mustang today. I now remember WHY I didn't install it back then,...the bolt holes do not line up with my '68's shock tower bolts. PITA, but some ingenuity got'er done! Paint is drying on all, I'll bolt it in tomorrow.
I'm ex-Navy,...old sonarman, circa 1976-1980,...sounds like you may ex-Navy too! is that true?
Todd.
