I need to repalce the driver window on my 67 f100. I have removed the door panel and am inside the door. My first question; how to remove the wing window? It looks as though I have to remove this to get the window in. Also anything else I shoud know about this? do I have to remove and replace the felt 'anti rattler' in the window channel? I dont think the window will fit with it in. I have already loosened some of the clips and it looks thrashed. any help would be appreciated.
hmm........since nobody else has posted yet, I'll give it a try. I'm not sure about the 67-72's, but on my 77 there's 3 bolts (I think) on the top side of the door where it slopes down. I think there's a few more, but they should be pretty easy to find. I've never actually taken a vent window out before.
If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader already, get it there on the page by following the link.
Then go to the catalogs link that is shaped like a document, once on that page right click anywhere on that page and save the file to your computer.
You can then view it and print it out if you want from Acrobat.
I tried to get the three pages to insert here for you
but they end up too small to read, and I can't figure out yet how to get my images large enough to view that way.
Anyway I don't think you need to take out the vent window either.
Good Luck.
the hole in the door is way to small to put a window through. and I acant see how you get it in with out taking the vent window out and the anti rattler moulding.
o.k. the hole in the door is rectangular in shape and measures 14 3/4" long X 8 3/8 high and the window measures 19 3/4 X 21 1/2 theres only one way I can make that fit and that would defeat the purpose. I looked to see if the door has another panel to take off but I dont see anything.
