98 Expy headlight problem

98 Expy headlight problem
Hello,
I recently inherited my cousins' Expy. He went away to the military.
It's a 98 expedition xlt 5.4.
It had dual halos headlight but I bought recently single bulb headlight housing.
After reading all the headlight high beam posts, I think this one might be a problem on its own.
The problem is when I switch the light to parking lights, the low beam comes on.
When the switch is turned to the headlights, the light goes off.
High beams don't work at all in either parking or headlight position.
The low beam shuts off when in park and high beam is activated on the lever.
I've noticed that there was a different connection as well when it had the halos.
The current bulb is a 9007 connection straight into the cable from the car.
There are no fog lights but I can see the connection to the fog light is harnessed to the frame. There was also a relay close to where the fog lights would be. I can attempt to get a picture later on.
I've checked the fuses and they all light up good, none of them is blown, and I bought a new bulb for testing purposes and it's not that.
Any ideas ? Would really like to consider driving evenings/nights

Since it is an aftermarket modification there really isn't a way for us to help you with it. We don't have a wiring diagram, we don't know if it ever work correctly, and we don't know if it was originally wired correctly. For this repair someone is going to have to be with the vehicle and use the 'hands-on' approach.
