Winding sound increasing w/ acceleration
I have a '98 Expedition Eddie Bauer 4 wheel drive w/ 201K miles on it. The issue I'm experiencing is a winding sound that sounds like it's coming from the front left of the truck. The best way to describe the sound is putting a baseball card between the spokes of a bike tire & pedalling down the street. The sound increases as I accelerate & slows down as I decelerate. The sound goes away when I'm doing maybe 15mph. I noticed that if I hit a bump, the sound goes away for a split second, then resumes. Anyone help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this exact issue a few weeks back. In my case I have chrome rims and the chrome had lifted off on the backside of the rim. As the wheel rotated the flap of chrome would hit something (the caliper I think) and make the baseball card in the spokes noise.

We had a similar sound, more of a clicking instead of the cards in the spokes. It was the rim cap that came loose and had a slight wobble. Check your rim cap (small hub cap) if you have those kind of rims.
