I have a 2002 F550 automatic with 7.3. The OD light is flashing, showing code "shift solenoid B". The truck doesn't want to shift from 1st - 2nd but shifts perfectly when you manually shift the tranny. Truck has 216k on it but tranny was rebuilt about 30k ago. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Depending WHICH "shift solenoid B" code was set I have different causes and fixes. Can you get the code number?
I haven't checked the wiring but I will. There are 4 codes showing. . p1249, p0755 "shift solenoid B", p1211, and p1783 " transmission over temp condition". I think 2 of those are related to the programmer being on the truck. . not necessarily transmission related.
That's unusual. P0755 means the solenoid itself doesn't work. To get a second solenoid with the same problem would be quite a coincidence. The only way this code can set is if the armature in the solenoid doesn't move when commanded. A wiring problem can't set this code.
After installing a shift solenoid and not getting any results, now there is a p1316 engine code on. This is an injector wire harness code. Could there be something else causing all these codes? Seems strange that both these codes are showing at the same time with no relation to each other. .
Update:
Truck is fixed. . . ended up having a bad injector wire harness and two broken wires going to the tranny. Picked truck up from the shop and it ran/shifted perfect.
