Looks like they've "upgraded" Term 4 since I was last in there.

We were in Terminal 1 a couple of weeks ago, and I think it hasn't changed since the place was built. Southwest uses it, and it's strictly "no-frills", but they're making money with full airplanes, so they must be doing the maintenance, too!

MCI or STL?

I started my first day at Hall Ambulance today. I am going to need to get adjusted to their way of doing things, but I like it. I like the way their management is run. Every white shirt (Administration) I met today, and seemingly all of them, came from the field, and hold current EMT or Paramedic certifications. In fact, when I got there the Scheduler and a Billing/Quality Assurance person were coming back from running calls as additional coverage. I much prefer that over management who is disconnected from the field, or has never done it. They also involve their staff is decision making, which is a big thing for me. Previously I've been under management who made decisions they thought was better, but was actually worse for the people it effected.

Benefits are great. 100% health premiums paid, and $1300 HFA debit cards. Paid certification classes... etc. They really take care of their employees. Very high retention rate.

The latter Pop. Fly back in mañana and land at rush hour. Hoping for a LT 2.5 hr drive to CAM catch the end of a scout ceremony.

Yeah, it's still under renovation, looks better and better! The only way I'll fly Southwest is from BUR.

Thanks, should be no issues, trailer is sound, and I will be putting along at 55mph to save fuel.

Jim

edit: Change of plans, will be leaving tomorrow night to head down there instead of tonight, as the seller has to move some stuff out of his driveway to get the truck out, and asked if I could pick it up Friday. That is actually better for me so I said yes. Buyer is cool with it too.

Shot a pig Monday night. Had a good 3 days of hunting, but missing a lot of sleep. At my desk now trying to remain lucid.

Like a wild boar??? I was talking to the Arkansas guys, and they said their wild boars are kinda greasy compared to domesticated pigs. Unless you get a younger one. Is this the same case for your hogs out there?

Not sure about greasy. Do they mean the meat, or harder to catch hold of?

The meat is leaner than store bought pork, but other than that I think it tastes exactly the same as domesticated pork. With so little fat I don't know why anyone would say the meat is greasy. The older boars can be so stinky and gamey that you can't really eat it, but a domestic boar would be too if it wasn't castrated. So really they are very much the same animal in different habitat. Taste can vary a little depending on what they eat.

On the greasy meat thing, we use a lot of my wild pigs as ground meat, and I have the butcher add a little beef suet to replace the lack of fat. Even with the added suet, if you fry up taco meat for example, you will not have to drain the grease away. That's how lean the meat is.
