Planning a U joint replacement on passenger side front axle on the RED Bronco. But the sun has not came up, so who know's what will drag me away from my planned activities.....
i guess i sould hea to the shop.. cant waste all day sitting here drinking coffee... sure would like to see the firewall painted, windshield and rear windows out and the openings cleaned and primed today..still need to make the final decision on the roof and interior color so i can buy the paint for that.. if i can just get the firewall done then later this week i can get the engine, brakes, tires and wheels back on... i hope dustyn can weld up my patches on the inner fenders so i can get them prepped and painted too.. would like to see this thing looking like a truck again
Good morning overachievers, I just finished my high octane coffee and am out for shop therapy, lawn care and beverages by the pool. Waiting on a friend to hear back about a position as a maintenance planner that has opened up, he's throwing my name in the hat for the job. 40hr week, half again more pay annually, health insurance is 500.00 per month cheaper with better coverage. I'm hoping he has enough pull.
I forgot to thank RC. The 56 on a Bronco frame had a bad brand mew master cylinder that was holding pressure. Craig figured it out with RC's process of elimination.
Ran across this the other day. Too late to help Dalton, if anybody else is planning stacks? Oh, y'all can ignore the half nekkid female there, she don't even know what stacks are. For those of you who think exhaust should go down instead of up, there's the 'Big Chief' running boards.
I had a good sell on some of my old stereo stuff I really haven't been using, gotta love "The list". So with some cash, and a fresh North Carolina CCW that I got this week, Tim and I went to check out the local gun and knife show in Raleigh.
I did some checking and believe I did pretty good getting this near new Italian made (EA/Tanfoglio brand) 9mm. I got some amm for it, but forgot all about the .22LR, and the .45ACP, and the .38 Special.
With the lower back bumming we called it a day, and now looking for a nice conceal holster, looked at a few there, but nothing grabbed me.
I started early and got the annual maintenance done on the rider mower, then cut the grass. After that was done I went and ate breakfast at the diner in town before I went to the shop.
I had a busy day at the shop. I got the engine wired on Bandit and actually heard it run! I even hooked up a "wait to start" light next to the key switch. Everything is wired and works like factory. I still have to wire up the "overdrive off" button and the fuel tank selector switch.
I also got the exhaust finished up on the Dodge. It's MUCH quieter and runs so much better. I even had time to prep a fender for paint for a Toyota truck for a customer and pull the engine and trans back out of the '57.
Wound up mowing every inch of the front, both sides, island, well house, shop lot yard. Then had to get on the leaves, killing the grass, then gathered up a few piles of stuff for the burn pile.
Took the hilbilly rig for a run, maybe get on the u joint tomorrow, oh wait still have to weed wack and help the Mrs with garden/flower stuff.
Haul a mower over the my moms place and cut and weed eater it there.....
dang alan.. there is no way i can keep up with ya, if ya keep up this pace!!!... all i got done was remove the front and rear glass, seat belts, then had dustyn clean around the windshield frame some, then i primed and painted the firewall, while that was drying i put on the front brakes.. i didnt have my helper but for an hour because he had to get ready for the prom.. but should be there with me all day today so maybe i can get something accomplished .. the foot is till very sore but packing my shoe full of packing material makes it tolerable to stand for a few minutes at a time..
Darrell, I really wanted to go, but decided I needed to be at the shop making money instead of at the fairgrounds spending it. ....Of course where I left off, Tiff picked up. SHE spent a bunch of money yesterday, so it all worked out.
There's a guy that's supposed to be coming today to replace the toilet valve upstairs. The old one (which is only 5 years old) just broke apart yesterday for no apparent reason. I'm gonna get off here after my coffee and get to the shop. I get to roll around in diesel fuel today and plug this leaky valve. I also have the transfer case shifter linkage to put on. After all that's done, I'll see about getting a steering column together so I can shift it.
