Loong day yesterday, had to pick up a coach bus in Brooklyn and tow it to Boston. Call came in a little after 3:30 in the afternoon, got back around 6 this morning.
Especially because the directions dumped me in Manhattan about to get on FDR Drive to be stopped by a sign saying "Passenger Cars Only" So I drove 50 blocks downtown on Lexington Ave which was fun in the big truck at 6:30pm. Good thing the Jake really barks in that truck
Justin but yeah most trucks aren't so bad when it's broken down to 4 basic steps. A The basic hook (lifting the tuck on the under-reach, chain it secure & attach safety chains), B Attach air lines to air up the truck/release the brakes, C remove driveshaft or an axle, D hang temporary tail-lights (the new ones are radio controlled, no more long cord). If you can tow it backwards you can skip steps B & C.
Whoops...I'm a bit fried tonight. Sorry 'bout that.

I was towed once back in '09 when my KW caught on fire in Wyoming. He had me hooked in about 30 minutes, and it amazed me how little time it took. I've always thought you guys had an interesting job.
Wish me luck guys, preferably good luck. Headed to PA for the long weekend today for a little hunting and family time. The wife and kid are staying home. I was instructed to not spend any money...so that's fun. Have a great weekend everybody! Sorry bout the rain!
Yeah the tires only need to be like 6" or so off the ground. Depending on height issues and bumper clearance with the "stinger" it can vary. With it too high the 5th wheel can bind in turns, especially with a load on the trailer.
Good Friday morning all. Kathy and I started the weekend early by going to the Mohegan Sun last night I lost about $100. Kathy won $1200 that was after diner and drinks. At one point she was up $1700. So our weekend is off to a good start. Now packing up for the campgrounds.
