Good afternoon everyone. Was at the ER last night with my wife, apparently she has gallstones. Sucks because she really doesn't have time for that kind of thing, she's pretty busy with school.

Hoping to be able to hit the river tomorrow, had a great time last weekend!

 

Nice, Tom. Just be careful going north of that bridge. It can get shallow quick, or so I was told. When our family was into boating my dad always kept south of Hartford because they didn't dredge the channel that far north. Now it's been years since I saw a barge on the river, so I don't know the last time the river has been dredged for that matter.

 

Thanks Justin. I used the ramp just south of the Bissell bridge on 291, so I had a couple of miles of river to go before I hit Hartford. The depth chart looked kind of ominous with some areas marked as little as a foot deep. But the river was 9 feet above normal level, and I didn't see anything less than 10 feet under me on the depth finder.

Some parts of the river were as deep as 45 feet in the channel.

Good morning all.

Well I screwed up yesterday. I went to put the cow **** in the DEF tank at the Southington T/A and tried to use my adapter which was to small and spilled about .8 gal on the ground before realizing I couldn't get it in. So my shoes and hands covered with cow urine and now going too diner. Washed my hands but could still smell the stuff on shoes and pants. So I'm off to the auto store to pick some up.

Whoops, sorry about the spill. It's not cow urine though, it's made from petroleum.
