Strange electrical problem-2003 Super Duty

The windows & radio go off when you open the glove box or the vanity mirrors, but not always. It also posts no codes when this happens.

I will have to see if my 03 does this, my guess is when you open the glove box the light comes on and the Gem thinks you opened a door..

Mine is very early 2003 with 7.3 basicly a 2002, has no gem. Thought I remembered cluster from something I was told a couple years ago. thanks for the info.

anytime. If you get a used cluster, be careful as they are different. there is a tag on the bottom side of the cluster and the middle set of numbers and letters on the left side of the tag is what they use.

i was quoted 400- 500 wholesale ordered from ford who in turn orders from an outside vender. for 265 i'll gamble with advanced auto electronics. they fix the clusters for the dealers as well.
