speedometer

Just wondering if a speedo out of a gasser will work in are trucks if I switch out the face trim so that the tach is right?

The speedo and tach are actually two separate units and can be swapped independent of each other. And to answer your question more directly, yes I believe the speedo is interchangeable with the gassers, but unless you swap over the PSOM as well (it's a module on the back of the speedo) the mileage will display whatever was on the gasser.

I believe that it is all one piece and cause of that the entire cluster has to be changed unlike the older models.

Are you sure about that? I was almost sure that the tach, speedo, and other gauges were in 4 separate pieces.

This makes it look like a separate unit:

Here's another one, albeit this one is the gasser gauges, but it shows the PSOM removal as well.

I just assumed it was one unit when I saw the mapping on the back.

That's just the circuit board on the back. The gauge heads plug into the board through the "base" of the cluster. Take off the lens and it will be clear how the various segments can be separately removed. Lightning speedometer (140 MPH?) is a favorite mod.
