98 Speedo problems!!!!

My speedo stoped responding above 45 mph. the odometer still works great? would like to repair, but am wondering if i could swap one out from a model with a tach and will it work (altought i will miss my white guages). So any repair ideas or swap idea are appreciated!!! Thanks lots!!

by the way beat on top the dash and the speedo will read the speed you are going at that time however it wont go any where till you beat on it again or go below 45

IIRC, it's plug and play regarding swapping in an instrument panel w/tach.
