4x4 question
So i drive a 95 f250 and i unlocked my front hubs and disengaged the 4x4 and when i take tight turns it feels like the front wheels are still digging so i engaged 4x4 again and slammed it down to see if that would stop it and it didnt. Is this a problem or is that how these trucks are?

If front hubs "Are Unlocked" and "Working" jack up the front and make sure both spin freely with no chatter or binding. Could be wheel bearings or an alignment issue too. Are tires showing any chopping or uneven wear? Try rotating them?

You definitely have to back up to unlock automatic hubs. That's how they are operated. I've also had manual hubs hang up a little until the load is taken off them. Reversing just an inch or two will usually do that.

Exactly, what needs to be done. They will eventually disengage but the easiest way is to just back up.
