I found this ! belive thats what I did on the wifes van!

I just had to do this last night on my 1999 Expedition.

** All transmitters must be programmed at the same time! Max of 4 transmitters can be programmed. **

- Keep the driver's door open.

- Electronically unlock the doors (Switch on door or working transmitter).

- Turn the ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the eighth turn ending in RUN. If the module has successfully entered program mode, it will lock and then unlock all doors.

- Within 20 seconds, press any button on an transmitter, and the doors will lock and then unlock to confirm that each transmitter has been programmed. Repeat this step for each transmitter.

** If the door locks do not respond for any transmitter, wait several seconds and press the button again. **

- To exit the programming mode:
-- Turn ignition to the OFF position.
-- Let the 20 seconds expire.
-- The maximum number of transmitters have been programmed.

Hope this helps!

Got the transmitter from NAPA. On the front of the package it said 1998-2007 Ford. I followed these instructions and my truck did in fact enter program mode. IE the doors lock, then unlocked. But, when I pressed the remote nothing happened, waited a few seconds, still nothing.

Any suggestions?
David

You may have to try more than once ! Might want to take it back and try a diff one if you can't make it work!

Try the procedure for programming them, if it enters programming you can program fobs for keyless entry.

Why would you think that? The remote hasn't been programmed for everyone elses vehicle.

Don't know how 1 remote would work for 2 diff vehicles?
You program both vehicles at the same time. It takes two people and a remote compatible with both vehicles.
