talked to my dad he said that when he owned the truck it was put into the shop many years ago to replace the drivers door

one other thing, i have this bracket on my floor on the passenger side of the doghouse and im wondering what it went to, my dad said that i could have gone to a car phone, did ford ever put the car-phones in from factory or was that something the owner had to do in the aftermarket? if i can id like to find the rest of the mount and adapt it to a tablet if possible.

It's probably for an auxiliary idle controller or AIC. Heres's a link to a pic of one.

Hmm, maybe the truck once had an overdrive unit behind the t-case, and that's where the shifter for it would be?

BTW, the door jamb sticker is on the door JAMB, NOT on the door. You could replace the door a million times, and unless the CAB has been repainted, the sticker should still be there.

well stickers not there and its a four door, not much of a door jam to put a sticker on... what is an overdrive unit? doesn't the E4OD already have one?

that is either an aftermarket cell phone holder bracket, or something a previous owner put in.

and crew cab warranty plate should be on the driver door, or on the driver side "B" pillar

when they changed /repaired the door it was probably removed.
it took me almost a year to get the guys at the body shop to tape off the warranty plate when painting trucks.
and almost as long to put the proper plate on when changing doors.
