I have a 1995 Ford F150 4x4 with a 4R70W AODE Transmission. I am in need of the Transfer Case shifter bracket. If someone might have one for sale, or might have some info for where I might obtain one, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I just put one in for someone and they said they got it from carquest for $200.00 and motorcraft was $400.00 .The old one was rusted tight and snapped off.

In between the shift rod and the bracket on the side of the transmission, there is the actual shifter. That's the only thing that I have found for sale. It looks like it is made of aluminum, and is a funky looking shape. Is that what you are referring too? The Shift rod from inside the truck, actually is connected to it by a clamp nut. I have actually found those on Ebay for $109 and up. I don't need the whole shifter assembly (which can't be bought new), or the actual shifter itself. I just need the bracket, that is bolted to the side of the tranny, that the shifter bolts too.
yes,it was the complete shifter control including the bolt/bushings into the trans case, excluding the handle.I would put never-seize on the bolt and bushing. It's made of cast white or pot metal and cant be welded. This was for a 95 f-250,but should be able to get one for your f-150

You say that one bolted into the transfer case? Mine bolts into the tail housing on the transmission.

Yes,your correct it do's bolt on to the end of the trans. Remove the rubber boot in the cab at the shifter lever, you can access from top and bottom for removal and assembly. http://www.dormanproducts.com/p-7837-600-602.aspx

I clicked on the link you provided. It came up with a server error. The part number you just gave is the same number as the shifters that I found on Ebay. So then I went to Carquest's website. That part number reveals a picture of just the control lever (or shifter, as others call it). It doesn't show or describe the bracket, that I am looking for. Carquest shows the price as being $187.59. I need the black steel bracket that the pivot bolt of this piece bolts too.
are you refering to the 3/4" flat steel linkage from the transfer case to the shift linkage? Maybe a pic. would help identify the part your looking for

No. I am referring to the actual piece that bolts to the tail housing of the transmission. It is the actual stationary point of the shift linkage. The long bolt, of the shifter you were referring too earlier, is actually the pivot bolt of the shifter. It threads into the bracket that I am needing. There is a oddly shaped long hole with a detente, at the bottom of the bracket. The pin that sticks out at a right angle, at the bottom of the shifter, actually goes into the long hole at the bottom of the bracket. The detente In the long hole that I am referring to, is actually what keeps the shifter from going into 4 Lo, without pushing down on it. That is the best way I can describe it. If you have replaced the shifter, you should be able to know of the bracket that I am referring too.
I know what you're talking about. I have the e4od but there is a plate that bolts to the tranny then the shifter bolts to it. They are different by what transmission you have. Dealer would be able to get the number, but its probably an obsolete part. Best bet probably junk yard, good luck.
