I have a 1972 f100 2wd sport custom truck with drum brakes. I need to know if there is a complete conversion kit for disc brakes? Also I think that the 72 year came with disc brake option and I was wonder if I could just which the brake out with 72 that has disc brakes? If anyone know please help. Tired of going in circles.
Yes sir buddy, Find and buy a 73-76 for FE 360 engine or 73-79 for I6 or 302 that also has the transmission that you currently have or wish to swap to. The 73+ will have every little part needed, all bolt hole swap. I bought a 76 360/C6 for my 66 F100, sold parts that I didn't need and ended up -0- in cost.
Make a plan you can make it happen. Don't get in a rush you can find your donor. Live in a gated community and can't bring a donor in, rent a space for a month. Make it happen, no excuses.
There is current thread on here "Never saw these before" or something to that effect that is a new bracket that allows pretty simply not much expense disc brake conversion. Also, check the sticky at the top as it has tons of valuable information that Joe was talking about. A wealth of information is available right here for you if you are just inclined to search. If you have any issues or questions along the way there are many talented people on here who love to help us newbies.....

Yes, Master Power Brakes (NC) offers a complete disc swap kit. Pricey though... your budget may vary.
The other way is to find a 71 or 72 but you will need the corresponding linkages because the steering arm positions are in a slightly different position and your linkages will rub on the radius arm pass-throughs.
73-79s will also work albeit a bit more involved. Read the tech thread sticky for links to disc brake swapping info.
I actually went with the Master Power option. They send you everything you need to to the swap. It is real easy basically have to take spindles off your truck and put the ones they send you on. It is pre-assembled with new bearings, rotor, caliper etc. Also get a new master cylinder, booster and prop valve. I did it in a couple of days after work. Also, if your truck doesn't have power steering, this would be a great time to upgrade to that as well. When you have the master cylinder out of the way it makes is easy to get steering column and box off.
So I found a 1975 f150. I look up f100 at the junk yard and found a f100 76' but when I went to look at it, it turned out to be a 75' f150. I saw that it had disc brake assembly still attached. Could I use those disc brakes or does it have to be from a f100?

Yes it'll swap. Read the article on disc swapping here on FTE and at Fordificafion for info on kingpin variations.
Albert, it was in that time frame that Ford switched from 100 to 150, both are 1/2 ton rated trucks, either will work as donor.
You can swap parts or complete I-Beam sets, I have seen guys beat on king pins for a half day, so there is no advantage to not swap the complete set. It has been a president for a while that every time a member comes back here with a problem he swapped parts rather than complete sets. I know when I am at the parts counter to ask for 76 year parts for about everything below the chassis of my 66.
