Brake Conversion Question
Can someone who knows about brakes check this ebay auction out?

If the link is a no-no I apologize. If the link doesn't work, go to ebay and search for "70 FORD F100 DISK BRAKES".
The problem is this guy says this disc brake setup is off his "factory original" 1970 F100, but everything I've read on this forum says these trucks were all drum brake-equipped. I have a '71 F100 that I'm looking to convert to disc and I came across the auction, but it seems both too good to be true and a bit shady. All of the stuff the seller added later (casting numbers, rotor size, etc.) are in response to my nagging in an attempt to get his story straight.
I don't even know if I could get replacement parts for this guy's stuff. I called some local parts shops looking for 1970 or 71 front rotors and they all said "sorry, drums only". I googled his casting numbers on the spindles and calipers and came up with nothing, too. What the heck?
Can anyone tell me if this is legit? Should I pass? If by some chance one of you guys is the seller will you please explain this to me? Thanks for your help.
Eric
There are many articles in this and the 61-66 forums on disc swapping.

Welcome to (FTE)!
Yes some bumpsides came with disc brakes, but you better do your home work, I think they came on some CS, and I think they were dual piston?
P.S. do a search, it should turn up lots of answers!

The brakes on ebay look like single-piston calipers. The rotors are 11 3/4".
I have searched this forum, and while I have maybe not used the utility to its fullest extent, I certainly have read a lot of posts about brake conversions. I just always see "use the front end from a 73-77" or "use stuff from an F250 donor". Never "find a 71 that came with factory discs, it's an easy swap".
(CS) = camper special
I just did a search by entering '' camper special disc bakes " this link below
should answer your ?

Also, the ebay guy said he's owned the truck since new. Although, at one point he said that it was a 289 3-speed, then a 4-speed. Shady.

The other post was to show that bigger 68-72s came with disc bakes, and
some one could have gotten mixed up with what they came off of.
You may want to just get what you need from a 73-79, and then you would
have all the parts needed.
