Seems to me you have to get something for your core our AE should ship it back to you.[/QUOT
They will refund core just not all of it.
Mentioned in previous posts
I see.
I suspect what Ford does with the prices of their re-manufactured engines is to simply assume all cores are bad and increases the price of their engine accordingly. If they get a good core, great, bonus. If the core is garbage, no problem, the customer was already charged for a totally bad core.
Thus, Ford can say they always give 100% on any core when really they are giving nothing for core returns. LOL.
AE could do the same thing by simply bumping up the price of their engine by $1,000 and then saying they always give $1,000 (100%) on cores. But companies like AE are a little more honest about it and give you a true core refund if the core is good.

Thanks for the update and good luck. Also dis regard my questions on the old thread, I got lost in the shuffle.
Weekly updates on a repair that will have its success measured in years (many miles) is sort of hard to take (and I usually am asking folks for updates). After the first big test (either a long trip or working it hard) and then every 3-6 mos or so would be greatly appreciated.
Well I finally reached my first oil change. An I'm here to report.
Zero problems. Truck runs perfect.
Thanks again everyone for the assistance on this. It's been a few months now so i wanted to update this.
