5-star and Y pipe?

I will be ordering a 5 star tune from Mike today. He will throw in a Y pipe for $80 which he said would add about 10 more lbs of torque. It would require my current restrictor pipe be cut off and the new one welded.

Has anyone tried the "Y" pipe after the 5-star? Was there any noticeable difference?

I bought the 5-star tuner and the y pipe at the same time, but didn't install the y-pipe for a few weeks. There was a definitely noticeable difference after the y-pipe. I loved it and wished I hadn't waited so long to get it. The power is noticeably more, and the exhaust note sounds a lot better. Took it up to my local muffler shop and paid $100 for him to weld it in for me. You have to loosen and rotate the driver side downpipe from the manifold when you're installing the y-pipe. Totally worth every penny in my opinion.

Did you notice any increase or decrease in MPG?

No decrease of mpg with the y-pipe, a slight increase. About a half an mpg or so maybe. The tuner did a 1mpg increase for me, and the y pipe brought it up a little bit more. The real noticeable benefit was better power and sound.
